Elm Brook offers a few different options for boarding.  Training board is available in addition to standard board and we have some options for half leasing farm horses.  All horses receive 2 feedings of grain per day in addition to all the hay they can eat!

Our horses have their own nutritionist, Christine Siracusa of Purina Feeds, who periodically evaluates them all based on their condition, work load, and special needs.  They are currently being fed a 50/50 mix of Omolene 500 and Strategy, Equine Senior, or Enrich Plus.  If these options are not suitable to your horse, we welcome owners to purchase their own grain (or combination of) which we will feed.

We offer group and individual turnout.  In the warm months we turnout those which will tolerate it at night to allow for more time out and more comfort.   Our current set up is 3 individual turnout pens, 3 small group paddocks, and 4 large group paddocks.  In general, horses are all turned out with halters and all horses should have available breakaway or leather halters for this purpose.

The new farm offers a different set up for us.  We have 29 stalls some of which are 10 ft. x 10 ft. and some of which are 10 ft. x 13 ft.  The stalls set down two aisle ways on either side of the indoor arena.  Each side of the barn has a spacious heated tack room for tack, medical supplies, and limited storage.  In addition, each aisle has a “trunk room” to allow for additional storage and a feed room for all grain and supplements.

We are currently full, but do have one stall reserved for training horses and temporary boarders and would be happy to talk to you about future boarding options or refer you to other quality farms around the area.
